Sunliner Diner is now hiring friendly, upbeat, and service-minded individuals to join our Orange Beach team. Here, you’ll find a workplace where positivity, support, and teamwork are always on the menu. Position Summary: The Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service to restaurant guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant and satisfying dining experience. Servers act as the main point of contact between guests and the restaurant. Key Responsibilities: * Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival. * Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about menu items. * Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar. * Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner. * Check guests IDs to verify legal drinking age and follow all alcohol service laws. * Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests. * Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens. * Clear tables and assist with resetting as needed. * Process payments accurately and handle cash and credit transactions. * Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines. * Work collaboratively with bussers, food runners, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Prior serving experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. * Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. * Basic math and POS (point-of-sale) system skills.
