SERVER   Knowledgeable, attentive, and genuine. You are the primary relationship between Tupelo and every guest at your table. POSITION OVERVIEW Servers at Tupelo Grill are responsible for delivering a dining experience that feels personal, informed, and effortless. This means knowing the menu thoroughly, anticipating guest needs, and executing service with confidence and care. We are a casual fine dining restaurant, which means standards are high but the atmosphere is warm — not stiff. The best servers here make it look easy because they have put in the work behind the scenes.   Reports to: General Manager / Shift Supervisor CORE RESPONSIBILITIES * Welcome guests to their table, establish genuine rapport, and guide the experience from start to finish * Maintain current, thorough knowledge of the menu — including ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and modification options * Make informed, enthusiastic recommendations on food and beverage pairings * Take orders accurately without relying on shortcuts or assumptions * Coordinate with the kitchen and expo on timing, modifications, and special requests * Monitor tables throughout service — anticipate needs without hovering * Handle guest feedback or concerns with professionalism and escalate to a manager when appropriate * Complete assigned opening and closing sidework thoroughly and on time * Support teammates, including bussers and food runners, to maintain floor flow * Process payments accurately and in accordance with tip reporting policies QUALIFICATIONS * Prior serving experience in a full-service restaurant required; fine dining or upscale casual experience preferred * Solid working knowledge of food and beverage, including wine and cocktails * Comfortable with POS systems — Toast experience a plus * Must be 18 or older and eligible to serve alcohol in the state of Montana * Able to carry multiple plates and remain on your feet for extended shifts YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU * You read a table quickly and adjust your approach accordingly * You treat service as a craft, not just a job * You are consistent — guests get the same excellent experience whether it is a Tuesday or a Saturday * You follow through.
