Friends Ramen is a lively and fast-paced ramen shop located in Chicago’s Near North Side (60610). We are serving Izakaya styled ramen in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. We’re currently looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Server to join our team.

WHO YOU ARE:

We’re looking for someone who is a team player with a great attitude. You should be:

• Experienced: You have at least 6 months - 1 year of experience in a restaurant or customer service role. Experience with ramen or Asian cuisine is a plus, but not required.
• A People Person: You’re a natural at making people feel welcome and enjoy creating a positive atmosphere.
• A Quick Learner: You can quickly grasp our menu and point-of-sale system, experience with Toast POS is a plus.
• Reliable: You are punctual and have a strong work ethic.
• A Team Player: You’re ready to jump in and help out wherever needed to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly.

As a Server, you’ll be the face of our restaurant, providing an excellent dining experience for every guest. Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming and seating guests in a friendly and timely manner.
• Taking food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
• Making menu recommendations and answering questions about our dishes.
• Delivering food and beverages to tables.
• Processing payments and handling cash, credit cards, and gift certificates.
• Clearing and resetting tables.
• Collaborating with the kitchen and other staff to ensure smooth service.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
