Job Overview:
At Hanover Street Social, we are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented waiter or waitress to join our team. As a server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and creating a memorable experience. Duties:
- Take orders from customers and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests
Experience:
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of bartending techniques and drink recipes
- Familiarity with basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food safety regulations and practices
- Culinary background is a plus
We are looking for someone who is available during the christmas period. As a plus we are closed on Christmas Day.
