Description As a valued member of our Food and Beverage dining outlets, you will be responsible for providing an elevated dining experience to our members and their guests in a variety of food service outlets, including our Mixed Grill, Tap Room, and Outdoor Dining Terrace. Responsibilities Daily checklists will be completed to ensure all pre-shift and post-shift duties are complete and the operation is set and ready for service each day Attend daily pre-service line up meetings, which will cover important information such as specials, service expectations, and team trainings. Provide immediate attention to all members and guests as they are seated, using proper verbiage and member names Maintain a continued presence on the floor with an “On-Stage” mentality Confidently deliver information regarding food and beverage options and daily specials, answering questions regarding menu offerings and items components. Demonstrate knowledge of dietary restrictions, ensuring guest’s accommodations are being met, by providing proper communication to the culinary staff. Accurately utilize the Point-of-Sale system (Jonas) to reflect the correct member and guest orders, ensuring any special cooking instructions and modifications are accurately communicated, using assigned table and seat numbers for corresponding areas, Demonstrate a working knowledge of our house selection of wine, beer, and liquor, with an ability to make recommendations on for each member’s preferences and palette Ability to present and pour wine through proper steps of service. Retrieve beverages from bar or service area and serve appropriately, up to and including final garnishes and tray service, and delivering to the member or guest Serve meals and place dishes by courses in front of each person Maintain continued attention to members and guests to ensure their satisfaction throughout their dining experience, replenishing beverages and food items as necessary. Remove soiled dishes and empty glasses; continued table maintenance and upkeep as required Present dessert menus; suggests and serves desserts, coffee and after-dinner drinks Verifies accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips and other charges on all checks Present bill and obtain signature on chit, if applicable Promptly and effectively resolve any service issues that arise, seeking assistance from management where appropriate. Consistently complies with all state, local, and Club laws and policies relating to the service of alcohol; informs manager if service to a member or guest is questionable Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all dining room and back of house spaces Other duties as assigned Requirements Previous waitress, waiter or banquet server experience preferred. Demonstrate a high caliber of professionalism and presentation, commensurate with the expectations of a private club setting Demonstrated organization and coordination skills and ability to meet deadlines and ability to multi-task in a sporadic, fast-paced environment Ability to maintain quality and safety standards Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills to a wide variety of constituents Excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills Must be at least 18 years old Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to stand, walk, squat, reach, bend, climb, clean, walk on rough ground and lift up to 20 pounds Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and exterior conditions and exposure to dust, fumes and gases Independent mobility Work Location: In-person
