Description Portland’s only riverfront country club with an unrivaled culture of year-round golf and spirited experiences that bring active families and friends closer together. Waverley Country Club is currently seeking Servers to join us this year. We are looking for outgoing individuals with a positive attitude, can take direction, and can work well as part of a team! This seasonal position is perfect for applicants looking for a fun and fast-paced seasonal serving position starting now and working through the end of the September. Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends and willing to work flexible hours. The starting pay rate is $22.00/hr. Waverley is a non-tipping club. In lieu of tips, we offer access to the golf course, pool and use of kayaks and/or paddle boards for the river on Mondays, meals during scheduled shifts, discounts on movie tickets and uniforms, and more. What you will do: Maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment Communicate effectively with members to help them with their food and beverage selections Take ownership of an assigned section with the goal to exceed members’ expectations Input food and drink order accurately into the point-of-sale system Properly set up and maintain all service areas according to standards Commit to recognizing and acknowledging members by name. Communicate any special requests with kitchen and any dissatisfaction with manager-on-duty Assist in setting and resetting Club rooms for events Upholds a professional and welcoming appearance and demeanor. Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to work weekends and flexible hours. Must have a current Food Handlers Card and OLCC Permit. Must pass a pre-employment background check. Ability to lift 15-30 pounds. Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Servers will maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment while effectively communicating with members to assist with food and beverage selections. Key duties include taking ownership of an assigned section to exceed expectations, accurately inputting orders, and maintaining service areas according to standards.
