JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and motivated Server to join our winery restaurant team. As a Server, you will provide exceptional guest service by guiding guests through our menu and wine selection, taking accurate orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable winery dining experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior serving experience in a full service; winery or wine bar experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of wine and food, with a willingness to learn about our wines and winemaking process.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be at least 18 years old (per provincial alcohol service laws).
  • SmartServe certified
  • Legal to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and seat guests warmly, presenting menus and explaining daily specials or wine features.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of menu items, wine pairings, and local products.
  • Make thoughtful recommendations for food and wine pairings based on guest preferences.
  • Take guest orders accurately using a POS system and communicate clearly with kitchen and bar staff.
  • Deliver orders promptly, ensuring all dishes and drinks meet presentation and quality standards.
  • Address guest needs during service and anticipate requests to ensure an exceptional experience.
  • Present wine flights, conduct basic wine education, and answer questions about our winery.
  • Process payments, handle cash or credit card transactions, and issue receipts.
  • Assist with bussing, resetting tables, cleaning the dining area, and other side-work as needed.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and protocols set by the winery and local regulations.
