POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our Service & Warranty Department. As the first point of contact for customers bringing in their trailers for service, repair, or warranty work, the Service Advisor plays a vital role in delivering exceptional support and maintaining long-term client relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Proven experience as an Automotive or Trailer Service Advisor, ideally in a dealership or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of trailer types, usage, and common repair/maintenance needs (or willingness to learn).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical details in layman’s terms.
  • Customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality service.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-oriented, with a drive to meet service targets and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Valid Ontario G Driver’s License in good standing is required.
Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction:
  • Greet walk-in and scheduled customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Communicate clearly with customers to understand trailer issues, usage history, and service needs.
  • Perform visual inspections and walk-arounds of trailers to document concerns or damage.
  • Service Coordination:
  • Prepare accurate work orders based on customer concerns and trailer conditions.
  • Liaise with our technicians to schedule and prioritize service work.
  • Provide timely updates to customers regarding repair progress, timelines, and changes in scope.
  • Sales & Customer Support:
  • Recommend appropriate service, maintenance, and accessories based on trailer type, usage, and safety requirements.
  • Promote add-on services and parts to support trailer longevity and performance.
  • Review final work orders and invoices with customers to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate records of service history, work performed, and customer interactions.
  • Handle warranty claim documentation, photos, and communications as needed.
  • Support parts inventory coordination and ordering related to service needs.
