Job Summary: Our service advisors bridge the technical gap between our customers and our service technicians to help customers understand their vehicle’s needs; to get the right work completed according to the customer’s needs at each visit. Sells and schedules recommended and required service work in the service department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Outstanding customer service skills are required. This position interacts with customers face-to-face, over the phone and via electronic communications systems. Must be able to deliver outstanding customer service verbally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail is a must. Must be able to switch between tasks frequently without losing track of anyone.
  • Technical understanding is a plus. This position translates between our technicians and our customers what needs to be done to each vehicle and why it’s important.
  • Mathematical skill required to calculate figures and amounts when providing estimates.

Responsibilities
  • Communicates with the customer reviews and confirms repair or maintenance needs. Collects, verifies and updates, as needed, customer and vehicle information. Identifies all open service actions requiring attention and asks for permission to perform them.
  • Consults with technicians regarding necessary repairs. Compiles estimates.
  • Explains necessary repairs to customers, providing time frames for completion.
  • Advises customers of any warranty coverages and alternative transportation options.
  • Prepares work orders describing symptoms and services requested and manages workflow to technicians, schedules work accordingly.
  • Works with the Parts department to give accurate information to customers about when needed parts will be available for repairs to be completed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
