WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 2+ years of experience in field service, applications engineering, or metrology—preferably with high-precision or laser-based systems
  • Hands-on metrology experience
  • Proficiency with metrology software such as PolyWorks, SpatialAnalyzer, or similar
  • Direct experience with InnovMetric PolyWorks software
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic to advanced electrical skills, including soldering
  • Proficiency with general office and computer software
  • Excellent customer communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

Nikon Metrology is seeking a driven Service/Applications Engineer to provide expert support for Laser Radar Systems, including lab and field service, installation, and repair. This role also supports contract service opportunities by assessing customer requirements, programming parts, and conducting inspections. The ideal candidate will lead customer programming development, implementation, and training.

ANCILLARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform on-site customer maintenance training and support.
  • Pre-Sales Hardware/software demonstrations and support
  • Act as point of contact for dealer support and training
  • Trade show support; set up/ tear down equipment.
  • All other duties, as needed or required.
