Automotive Service Cashier Responsibilities The Automotive Service Cashier is responsible for processing all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with company’s established policies and procedures. * Responsible for welcoming customers with a warm and sincere greeting * Ensures excellent service standards and maintains high customer satisfaction * Receives cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers and records the amount received in an accurate manner * Provides proper change and/or receipts to the customers * Provides exceptional customer service throughout checkout process * Records transactions on daily settlement sheets and verifies against cash-on-hand * Answers and transfers phone calls or take written messages when needed personnel not available * Responsible for filing, scanning, and/or booking repair orders as needed * Provides assistance to the accounting office as directed on an individual task basis * Follows company safety procedures and policies Automotive Service Cashier Qualifications * Individuals employed in this position must have knowledge of basic arithmetic and skill in handling and counting cash accurately * Individuals employed in this position must be able to stand, sit and mobilize through various dealership work areas (sometimes for extended periods) * Individuals employed in this position must have excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills; cultural sensitivity and demonstrates ability to work with diverse people groups * Individuals employed in this position must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and management * Individuals employed in this position must demonstrate organizational and time management skills. * Individuals employed in this position must demonstrate sufficient computer literacy * Individual employed in this position must possess a positive attitude and commitment to adhere to and administer company policies, procedures Salary Starting at $16.50 per hour
