Join our dedicated, talented Diabetes Canada team and together, #LetsEndDiabetes!
Role Overview
Are you a people-person who lights up when building relationships, rallying volunteers, and making things happen behind the scenes? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment where every connection you make helps change lives? If so, we want you on our team!
We’re looking for a Service Clubs & Volunteer Support Officer to be the heartbeat of our Community Fundraising & Events team. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is all about connecting the dots—between volunteers, service clubs, sponsors, and our incredible events across the country.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  1. Service Clubs & Community Fundraising (75%)
You’ll be the friendly face and trusted partner for Lions Clubs, service organizations, and community groups across Canada. From cultivating new relationships to stewarding long-time supporters, you’ll help drive meaningful fundraising that fuels our mission—especially our life-changing D-Camps for kids living with diabetes.
This role supports the fundraising department within Diabetes Canada and generates an overall revenue of $700k/annually through grants, and proposals.
  2. Volunteer & Intern Engagement (25%)
You’ll lead the charge in recruiting, training, and supporting our amazing day-of-event volunteers, office helpers, interns, and Canada Summer Jobs participants. You’ll be their go-to guide, cheerleader, and coordinator—making sure they feel valued and empowered every step of the way.
Location: 1000 – 170 University Ave. Toronto, Ontario. A flexible work agreement policy in place allowing employees to work on a hybrid schedule, working remotely, and with the expectation of being on-site and attending events.
Candidates must have a valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle to be eligible for this role.
