REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience coordinating service logistics and/or support in a technical environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Sales Force experience.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and in many cases, respond to rapidly changing priorities or opportunities.
• Understanding of shipboard and Carrier HVAC equipment - Carrier centrifugal, screw, and reciprocating compressors and in general about a range of Carrier products and chiller series preferred.
• Experience with shipboard service projects and the associated logistics preferred.
• Understanding of control components and software associated with chiller systems is preferred.
• Ability to communicate well with customers and provide high quality support to those customers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact within a multi-functional team.
• Ability to effectively resolve customer and logistical issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Ability to meet personal and team goals.

Carrier Marine & Offshore Systems is responsible for selling air conditioning products and systems for every commercial application from cruise ships to fishing boats, offshore drilling platforms to oil tankers.
This position is for a seasoned professional in HVAC Service who works independently, resolving complex customer inquiries. This role maintains databases, makes recommendations to management for customer issue prevention and the sales team to identify sales opportunities. Make updates to procedures to ensure the improvement of Customer Service processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support and assist the team with growing a global Marine Systems customer base by providing effective service support and logistical solutions, in close co-work with service sales and operations team.
• Utilize a network of resources, suppliers, and contractors to provide specialized support to Marine service projects and tasks.
• Use Carrier resources such as HVAC Partners etc., as needed to identify required parts.
• Support service and commissioning activities.
• Liaison with the shipyard and customers.
• Identify and schedule resources.
• Coordinate logistics of equipment and parts associated with service projects in close cooperation with the team.
• Identify job requirements as well as parts to order.
• Support of Service Coordinator for shipboard services of AC systems.
• Provide support to service sales and operational team.
• Understand and work to help the team meet monthly quarterly and annual financial targets (by gathering/filing supporting documents).
• Work closely with Project Sales Manager and Rotterdam team to coordinate tasks, incl. preparation of documents and submittal to clients/agents, to arrange access for Technicians.
