Service Coordinator – SHIFT Project Salary: Grade 7 £38,256-£39,276 Fixed Term or Secondment: 3 years 36 hours per week Job Purpose The purpose of this role is to support the operations of the service that work with a small number of children and families to motivate young people to think, reflect and begin taking steps towards a better life. You will support the practitioners that provide exceptional outcomes and break the destructive cycle of crime using the Breaking Cycles™ ingredients and SHiFT Framework. You will ensure the implementation of best practice and service standards, building effective working relationships and support collaborative ways of working with practitioners, social workers, managers in children social care. The successful service coordinator will participate in the development and implementation of service improvements, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and policies, provide guidance, support and expertise, ensuring that processes, systems and governance arrangements are followed and fit for purpose. About You The successful candidate will have a knowledge of common service support systems used throughout the council. Experience of working in teams that support the development of children and young people. Good knowledge and understanding of the customers’ service support requirements. Knowledge of national legislation, policies, standards, and initiatives relevant to this role within a local government environment. Ability to prioritise own workload and that of a large team to meet deadlines in a fast-changing environment. A clear appreciation of the demands of working within a multiple stakeholder, fast-paced, highly political environment. Ability to work in a large complex, political organisation and to understand and operate within national and local frameworks of accountability.
