SERVICE COORDINATOR - TEAM LEADER

£26910 (£13.80 per hour)
09:00 – 17:00
Monday to Friday
Hillsborough, Sheffield
Temporary leading to a permanent opportunity

The Role

  • Work pro-actively with key partners, local stakeholders, and complementary agencies to ensure the service has an excellent local and regional profile
  • Establish and maintain working links with the commissioner, third sector and statutory services to improve mutual accessibility to services for vulnerable people and ostensibly people with multiple and complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and partners, families, and communities to increase the capacity and effectiveness of the service
  • To line manage a designated team of 5 Service Coordinators
  • To manage an assertive outreach floating support service for vulnerable people in the community across Sheffield
  • To inspire and motivate team members and manage their performance effectively
  • Ensure that staff understand and work within the delivery model, the service specification and expected outcomes/KPI’s
  • To ensure the effective recruitment and selection of staff, volunteers, peer mentors and students, the training, induction and development
  • Support staff by planning, coaching, and allocating work within the team
  • Manage the health, safety and wellbeing of staff including management of employee attendance
  • Ensure service and contract compliance with the organisation’s Policies and Procedures
  • Monitor and manage referrals and allocations as appropriate
  • Support the development and maintenance of effective and specialist housing brokerage, advice and information both directly to service users and to assist staff in supporting residents to secure long term housing outcomes
  • Provide specialist knowledge and skills to staff on more complex cases within their cohort of service users (safeguarding, barriers to engagement etc)
  • Ensure regulatory customer service standards are set, delivered, and monitored
  • Ensure service user assessments, contracts and reviews are undertaken and agreed with service users and external agencies ref: child protection/child in need
  • Participate in an out of hours rota as appropriate
  • Support the Operational Manager in monitoring the service budget ensuring services are delivered within planned budgets
  • Ensure the staff team understand the operational budget income & expenditure and how it applies to them and their targets
  • Articulate and personally demonstrate set of values and behaviours
  • Build a culture where every person feels empowered and valued
  • Ensure the delivery of co-production involvement and engagement strategy
  • Deliver co-production involvement and engagement activities
  • Fundraise to enhance the service offered to service users

Safeguarding, Health, and Safety

  • Take part in the review of risk assessments of staff and client activities and environmental risks ensuring effective risk management plans are put into place and that risks are monitored and reduced both organisation and projects in line with need and identifying hazards
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented and that all safeguarding concerns are recorded, monitored, and reported in line with internal and local authority policy and procedures
