Overview Service Coordinator (Temporary Assignment for 3-6 months) - Quinn CAT Santa Maria Are you looking for an opportunity to gain valuable experience with a leading Caterpillar dealer? We are seeking a Bilingual Service Coordinator to support our Oxnard branch on a temporary assignment. This is a great opportunity for temporary employees interested in expanding their administrative, customer service, and dispatching experience within the heavy equipment industry. Wages Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $22.23 – $25.00 per hour Responsibilities Service Coordinator – Santa Maria, CAPay: $22–$25 per hour (depending on experience)Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PMStatus: Temporary assignment through approximately October/NovemberInterviewing Immediately Key Responsibilities Dispatch and coordinate field and shop technicians to assigned jobs. Manage and update service work orders, track work-in-progress (WIP), and help move jobs to completion. Reconcile technician time between Kronos and DBS systems. Provide daily updates to customers and communicate work order status internally. Order Caterpillar parts and coordinate with internal parts departments or outside vendors. Prepare Time & Material estimates and support timely invoicing. Approve technician part purchases and assist with job-related expenses when needed. Obtain customer payment methods and assist with collections to prevent write-offs. Maintain a general understanding of machine and weld shop product support. Support other branches as needed. Preferred Background Service coordinator or dispatcher experience. Heavy equipment, construction equipment, rental equipment, or diesel service environment experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced service department. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
