Job Description Summary: Municipal Emergency Services, Inc. (MES) is looking for a part-time Service Courier and Hydro Technician - (Part-Time) for our St. Petersburg, FL facility. Under general supervision, our courier is responsible for providing courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of various items, emphasizing safety and customer service. This position also mandates on-the-job training to become a Service Technician and to obtain certification in SCBA Repair and Hydro Testing. The ideal candidate must live within reasonable commuting distance of the St. Petersburg, FL area. Roles and Responsibilities: Receive daily route information from the dispatcher/manager Safely transport packages, customer orders, and other related materials (pick up and deliver SCBA cylinders to and from the Florida office and all over Florida) Strictly observe operating policies, procedures, and schedules Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior Present a professional image to customers, suppliers, and the public through appearance and interaction Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates, customers, and suppliers Perform cylinder hydro testing and cylinder valve repair as needed All other job-related duties as assigned Requirements Required Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license Superior organization skills, attention to detail, and accuracy are a MUST Problem-solving and analytical ability Able to perform basic business math Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of two (2) years experience in a similar position One year minimum military, fire, or police experience in a volunteer or paid capacity Desired Characteristics: Very friendly and welcoming demeanor Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work well in a team environment Demonstrates integrity and ethical standards while delivering superior customer service Able to handle difficult customers/suppliers with diplomacy and tact Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to frequently and safely enter and exit a motor vehicle Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing or sitting Education: · High school or equivalent (Required) Benefits: Company Provided Vehicle 401(k) and company matching Health insurance Health savings account Dental Insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Paid time off Paid Holidays Annually Employee rewards and recognition program
