What You Will Be Doing As a Service Deli Manager, you will exemplify and ensure strong customer service in all areas of the job while providing superior quality products that exceed customer expectations. You’ll lead a team to maintain fresh inventory, oversee food preparation, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Main Responsibilities * Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast and friendly service. * Assist customers with product suggestions, special orders, and food preparation ideas. * Oversee all deli operations including food preparation, cooking, and serving. * Implement proper product preparation and packaging techniques. * Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and visual appeal of the deli area. * Schedule, supervise, and train department employees. * Monitor inventory levels, control shrink, and ensure freshness. * Controls inventory to ensure adequate product quantity, quality, and freshness and maintains inventory levels according to division directives. * Prepare sales and inventory reports; conduct physical inventory every 4 weeks. * Ensures temperatures are maintained in all phases of preparation, display, and storage. * Ensure compliance with labeling laws, safety regulations, and company standards. * Perform administrative tasks and maintain accurate department records. What We Are Searching For Skills & Competencies * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Leadership ability to supervise and train employees. * Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and inventory control. * Ability to operate deli equipment and computer systems. Qualifications * Previous experience in deli operations or food service management preferred. * Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for long periods. * Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Temperature-controlled environment with frequent exposure to refrigerated and freezer conditions. * Occasional travel may be required.
