Description Job Title: Service Department Representative Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Service Department Representative to join our team. This is a skilled position responsible for installation, set-up, repair and preventative maintenance of vending, coffee equipment, cooling and/or fountain equipment at customer accounts. Successful candidates will be able to diagnose equipment problems, use judgment to determine how to best repair or replace. Position works independently and has frequent customer contact. Requires kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling and bending, lifting, carrying, pulling and/or moving heavy machines when making repairs. Position may require moving vending machines weighing 800-1,200 pounds. This position will be on-call monthly to include night and weekends for sudden service calls. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Establish and maintain positive relationships with contacts at service calls (resolving customer issues, ensuring appropriate communication with store managers, following up on customer requests, etc.). Educate customers on basic equipment repair and upkeep procedures. Prepare equipment for installation. Collect and document incoming and outgoing equipment. Diagnose and repair vending, coffee equipment, cooling and/or fountain equipment. Install equipment by making holes and routing lines to connect products to dispensing unit. Work with mechanical systems (basic knowledge of mechanical concepts, troubleshoot and repair appliances, perform basic repairs in plumbing, circuits, fuses, and electrical components, operate hand and power tools). Work with plumbing (drains, water supply, ice makers, shut-off valves, filtration systems, etc.). Work with basic refrigeration systems (understand refrigeration cycle, Freon, compressors, evaporators, condensers, etc.). Document all calls in Manager Plus system to track service performed and parts used. Maintain parts and tools inventory on service truck. Perform other duties as necessary.
