The Service Design and Transition team lead all the service design and service transition activities across a large portfolio of University projects. They provide assurance that all new or changed products and services meet operational standards, are operationally fit for purpose and can be maintained by the support teams and partners before they are released into the live estate.
The Service Design and Transition Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that new and changed services are consistently designed and transitioned in line with the UoM IT Services Strategy, and that they meet current and future customer requirements. The role holder will coordinate all service design and transition activities working closely with project teams, colleagues in other IT teams and other key stakeholders from across the University to capture the production service design and service transition requirements. They will ensure that these requirements are understood, considered and addressed within the project lifecycle through service design packages and the attainment of agreed service transition and operational readiness criteria.
