About the role In this role, you will support the City’s approach to service design and innovation by working alongside leaders and teams to guide redesign initiatives, deliver measurable community value, and embed innovation practices across the organisation. You’ll help coordinate the Innovation Hub, build capability, and assist service owners to turn insights and ideas into meaningful outcomes. Key responsibilities include: * Supporting service innovation projects and applying human-centred design methods. * Providing informed advice and guidance to service owners and stakeholders about service design * Develop service design artefacts such as user journey maps, blueprints, and personas. * Helping to coordinate the City’s Innovation Hub, facilitating workshops, and enabling idea generation. * Assisting in evaluating innovation initiatives and preparing outcome reports. * Collaborating across the organisation to enhance continuous improvement and customer value. About you To be successful in this role, you will have a degree-level qualification in design (service, product, or experience design), innovation, public policy, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Essential Experience: * Knowledge of design practices related to service design and improvement, ensuring compliance and effective implementation. * Experience applying service design and/or innovation methodologies in complex environments. * Experience developing and applying service design artefacts such as journey maps, personas, and blueprints throughout the design process. * Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, guide, and support teams at all levels. * Demonstrated capability to support projects, facilitate workshops, and contribute to change initiatives. * Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
