IDEAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Understanding of business process flows and user journey challenges in industrial and enterprise settings.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in conducting user research, interviews, and workshops.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong user-centric mindset, capable of identifying and addressing UX challenges from the end-user’s perspective.
  • Capability to manage projects and client relationships independently – in the early phases of our projects, you’ll often be the first point of contact for our clients.
  • Some experience with Figma and user interface design.
  • Excellent presentation skills – written, verbal, and visual.
  • Passion for improving business processes and service experiences through AI and data-centric solutions.
  • Fluency in English; Finnish is considered a major plus.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Service Designer (AI & Data), you will have a unique opportunity to bring design principles into traditionally engineering-focused environments, helping shape data-heavy solutions for industrial and enterprise settings. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, engineers, and data scientists to ensure that solutions are not only technologically sound but also aligned with user needs and business processes. The solutions we design are often complex and domain-specific, requiring you to quickly grasp the context – be it for manufacturing, research & development, supply chain management, ESG or other domains in large, industrial enterprises. Your role will involve understanding and improving process flows and user journeys, facilitating stakeholder interviews and workshops, and translating insights into actionable service concepts and solution designs. Additionally, you will support the user interface and experience design process and contribute to the continuous enhancement of data-driven services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and map existing process flows and user journeys in industrial and enterprise environments to identify pain points and opportunities.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather insights and align analytical and AI solutions with user needs.
  • Design and document service concepts for data-driven solutions (defining e.g., problem statements, value propositions, use cases, and functional requirements).
  • Collaborate with implementation teams and business stakeholders to ensure user-centric implementation.
  • Support interface design and prototyping using Figma and other relevant tools, especially in the wireframing stage when testing out new concepts with users.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks, ensuring projects progress smoothly.
  • Contribute to improving ways of working for clients, ensuring AI and data-centric solutions are seamlessly integrated into daily operations.
