Job Title: Service Desk Administrator – Field Services
Location: Near Reading, Berkshire (Hybrid: Monday & Friday remote, Tuesday–Thursday in office)
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a proactive and organised Service Desk Administrator to join a busy Field Services team. This is a key role in ensuring smooth service delivery by coordinating engineers, managing parts and logistics, and keeping support tickets on track in line with service level agreements.
This position offers variety, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to work in a role where organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills are highly valued.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule and coordinate engineers for customer site visits
  • Manage incoming service requests and log tickets accurately
  • Arrange parts dispatch through couriers or suppliers
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and engineers
  • Monitor progress of tickets to ensure SLA compliance
  • Escalate issues when required to keep resolutions on track
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the team
