Te Tūranga | About the Role As a Service Desk Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for technical support across our corporate and plant locations. You’ll respond to incidents and service requests, helping our people stay connected, productive, and confident in the technology they use every day. This role spans a broad mix of remote support, troubleshooting, ticket management, documentation, and user assistance. You’ll work closely with colleagues across our Technology & Transformation team to deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused service that supports the smooth running of our business. You’ll be supporting a Windows desktop environment, with users largely in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Identity and access are managed through Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, with device management and policy control delivered via Intune." Te Mahi | Key Responsibilities Provide first‑level technical support for hardware, software, access, production systems, and network issues, resolving or escalating as appropriate. Log, prioritise, and manage incidents and service requests, ensuring users are kept informed throughout. Use diagnostic tools and knowledge resources to troubleshoot issues and maintain accurate documentation. Support system administration tasks such as updates, software installs, onboarding needs, and maintaining IT knowledge articles. Build positive relationships with staff across all sites, delivering service that is proactive, professional, and customer‑focused. You communicate clearly, listen well, and can translate technical information into everyday language. You build strong rapport quickly, and your customer‑first mindset means you take ownership of issues and follow them through to resolution. To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a solid base of IT knowledge — whether gained through a relevant qualification, hands‑on technical experience, or previous time in a service desk or support environment. You’re confident working with diagnostic tools, standard business applications, and core IT systems, and you’re always looking to learn and improve. You’ll also be organised, curious, and adaptable, able to prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
