Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support and assist users through digital channels
  • Maintain and operate IT systems both on-site and remotely
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and document solutions
  • Support digital transformation initiatives
  • Apply data protection and security principles
  • Communicate effectively with users of varying digital abilities
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments
  • Meet agreed learning and performance targets

What we are Looking for

  • A genuine interest in IT and digital support
  • Motivation to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship Program
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Ability to learn new systems and adapt to change
  • Teamwork and willingness to follow instructions
  • Confidentiality and professionalism
  • Provide evidence of GCSE or Level 2 equivalent in functional skills (Maths and English) at grade 4-9/A*-C.

Complete a Level 3 Digital Applications Technician apprenticeship qualification
Participate in the Councils apprenticeship network and various development activities
Have access to a buddy/mentor.
After you have successfully completed your apprenticeship, you will have gained valuable workplace experience and attained your Level 3 Digital Applications Technician. This will improve your chances of finding work within the Council, with other employers or help you move on to a higher-level apprenticeship.
