  • Fixed-term, full-time opportunity available for immediate filling until 11 November 2025
  • VPS Grade 3: $79,122 - $96,073 per annum plus superannuation.
    The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an experienced Service Desk Support Officer to provide a critical role within Technology Solutions and Data Security.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to provide support for the provisioning of system and application support requests, the fulfilment of technology purchasing and provisioning of service activities that meets the needs of business customers.
The Service Desk Support Officer provides support for basic incident resolution and requests reported to the service desk. Responsibilities include initial assessment, logging of the ticket, triage, research, and resolution of basic incidents and requests regarding the use of application software products and/or infrastructure components. The Service Desk Support Officer is responsible for collecting information through customer conversation, accessing support tools and additional support staff (service resources) if needed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in using a service management system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience in request fulfilment and administration or similar with a Government Department.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
  • The ITIL Foundation qualification is highly desirable
