OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Enhancing the employment and employability of persons with disability is a key outcome for SG Enable. The Service Development (Employment) department is responsible for overseeing capability building of employers and job coaches, to better support the employment and retention of persons with disabilities.
Job coaches assist individuals with disabilities in finding, securing, and maintaining meaningful employment. They provide tailored support based on the individual’s strengths, needs, and workplace requirements.
Your role will contribute towards developing robust and sustainable employment support system for persons with disabilities through growing and building the capabilities of job coaches for the sector.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma/Degree holder with minimum 3 years of working experience
  • Applicants who are familiar with the disability sector or community building experience or teaching experience would have an added advantage
  • Possess a natural drive for excellence and the resourcefulness to analyse data and creatively find solutions
  • Technologically proficient e.g using automation tools, collaborative tools, etc
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with the ability to work under tight deadlines, and adaptable to changing circumstances

Responsibilities
  • Develop plans and provide support in growing and facilitation of CoP (Community of Practice) – a network of job coaches, on sharing of best practices in supporting persons with disabilities at the workplace, through members engagement and learning initiatives.
  • Support the administration operation and marketing to raise the profiles of job coaches’, Community of Practice, as well as any programmes/workshops planned for job coaches
  • Support the assessing of job coaches’ skills needs and uncover gaps in competency, systems, capabilities and training, through research and engaging different stakeholders in the sector
  • Support the development and implementation of training opportunities like courses, micro-learning workshops and conferences. This includes the process of researching, contacting stakeholders, sourcing for and coordinating with training providers to adapt and contextualise courseware for relevance to the job coaches.
