POSITION SUMMARY:

Destec are a family run business employing 85 people, based in Lincolnshire., We are looking for a Sales professional to join our team. This role will be an integral part of our service focused function, working closely with clients to promote our services, develop new business opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or account management
  • Ideally a background in engineering, or onsite services/machining.
  • Experience in one of the following industries desirable, Mechanical Engineering, Energy, Defence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership to develop strategic sales initiatives
Responsibilities
  • Sales & Business Development: Actively promote the company’s onsite services with some product support to both new and existing customers.
  • A field service role with a combination of office and home working for sales planning, reporting, generating appointments and team collaboration.
  • This role is mainly covering the UK , however international travel will be necessary on occasions. Periods away from home can be expected as is weekend travel where necessary.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with customers through face-to-face meetings, calls, and emails.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Gather market intelligence and develop external communication strategies. Use digital media platforms to promote products and services.
  • Sales Strategy & Forecasting: Work closely with the Global Sales and Marketing Manager to set targets and provide regular reports.
  • Working with the Service Management Team and providing regular feedback. Provide weekly itineraries for upcoming activity.
  • Quotations & Technical Support: Prepare and oversee the preparation of quotations, handling technical customer inquiries with confidence.
  • Exhibitions & Trade Events: Represent the company at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events.
