The Electrician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled tasks including electrical safety improvements, troubleshooting, repairs, rewiring, and maintenance work across all buildings.

MAJOR POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure safe work practices by adhering to WorkSafeBC regulations, CSA Electrical Code, and company policies.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all building and production electrical equipment.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and conduct breakdown repairs on electrical and automation systems as needed.
• Maintain electrical tools in safe working order, including conducting annual safety inspections as required by WorkSafeBC regulations.
• Must have a technical background as a technician or electrician, with expertise in electrical circuits.

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Certified technician or electrician with relevant technical training/background.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and experience with CMMS Work Order systems.
