Service Engineer (Valmet Automation Solutions - Korea) Are you ready to make an impact in automation and customer service? We are looking for a skilled Service Engineer to support and grow Valmet’s Automation market share by applying technical expertise and delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you will work closely with our customers to ensure smooth installation, maintenance, and optimization of Valmet’s automation solutions. You will become an expert in Paper Analyzer, QCS (Quality Control Systems), and DCS (Distributed Control Systems), including hardware and process control software design and implementation. This position involves extended periods at customer sites, project management support, and 24/7 on-call service when required. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary contact for dedicated customers, ensuring satisfaction and managing relationships. Identify opportunities for support, upgrades, and training sales. Perform installation, maintenance, and after-service for Paper Analyzer, QCS, and DCS systems. Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and provide on-demand service. Assist in project management and collaborate with sales teams to identify add-on and upgrade opportunities. Provide monthly reports and maintain accurate customer install base information. Promote teamwork, share best practices, and maintain safe working standards. Requirements Minimum 5+ years of experience in the pulp & paper industry. Strong technical knowledge of automation systems and ability to multitask. Working proficiency in English, excellent team-building skills, and stress resilience. Ability to organize work independently and respond quickly to customer needs. Preferred: B.E degree in engineering.
