Sprinkler Service Engineer Our Sprinkler Service Engineer will be responsible for conducting fire sprinkler services across project sites. Are you looking for your next Service Engineer role? What You’ll Be Doing: Carry out engineering and maintenance tasks as scheduled, working across a wide range of sprinkler systems in line with current industry standards. Perform both planned preventative maintenance and reactive service works, following company standards. Diagnose faults efficiently and complete repairs, ensuring all issues are accurately recorded and supported with photographic evidence. Conduct flow and duty testing on sprinkler fire pumps, hydrants, and residential systems, including all relevant integrity checks. Undertake fire pump flow testing as required to ensure optimal system performance and compliance. Maintain clear and professional communication at all site levels, representing the company to a consistently high standard in both written and verbal interactions. Work in full compliance with company and site-specific health and safety procedures, ensuring safe working practices at all times. Participate in the regional out-of-hours rota, receiving a standby allowance and enhanced rates for call-out attendance. What You’ll Need: Proven experience working with fire sprinkler systems is essential, including Wet, Dry, Alternate, Pre-Action, and Deluge systems. Candidates from a mechanical background with the right attitude and willingness to learn will also be considered. Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. A dependable and reliable approach to work, with an understanding of the importance of meeting strict deadlines. Flexibility to work away from home when required is essential. Knowledge of fire alarm panels and system isolations. A good understanding of health and safety practices and procedures. A keen attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, customers, and colleagues at all levels.
