Location: Based in Matlock, Derbyshire, with travel across the region
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime/weekend availability)

Following the recent launch of our new Service Centre in Matlock, we’re now looking for a hands-on, customer-focused Service Engineer to join our expanding operations team.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a varied and rewarding position ideal for someone with a mechanical or electrical background who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and making a real difference to customers’ lives.
You’ll be responsible for the service, repair, and occasional installation of mobility equipment such as scooters, powerchairs, riser recliners, and hospital beds—both in our Matlock workshop and on-site in customers’ homes. You’ll also receive full training to support stairlift installation and maintenance. A company van will be provided for use during working hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Service, repair and maintain mobility scooters, powerchairs, and riser recliner chairs
  • Install and maintain stairlifts (full training provided)
  • Deliver, install, and demonstrate hospital beds and specialist seating
  • Maintain a clean, well-organised and safe working environment
  • Liaise with suppliers and assist with parts ordering and stock control
  • Accurately complete job sheets and service records
  • Represent the company with professionalism and a positive attitude at all times
