We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team here at Pirtek Hull. We are looking for an outgoing and competitive Service Technician to work out of our depot based in Hull.
From the Hull depot we cover an area including Hull, Goole, Bridlington, Scunthorpe, Immingham and Grimsby so applicants from any of these areas will be considered.
This is a mobile, field service based role to carry out on-site replacement of hydraulic hoses, couplings and associated pipework components on equipment such as vehicles, heavy plant and machinery including lorries, fork trucks, excavators, dump trucks, cranes, factory machinery and anything with a hydraulic system.
We are a 24 hour/ 365 days per year service, therefore there is an after hours call out rota (shared between the service technicians) of which you will be expected to take part, this is usually one week in 4 and includes weekends and bank holidays.
We are looking for a self motivated person who can;
Work well individually and as part of a team.
Work safely, on varied sites and situations, in all weather conditions and often under pressure from the customer.
Communicate effectively with customers and management.
Engineers will build and maintain customer relationships with new and existing customers.
The ideal person will have experience in a mechanical, plant, motor trade or engineering background and have a positive, customer orientated attitude.
We will offer product training for the right person. Inhouse training from our experienced team as well as City and Guilds training at out National Training Center in Birmingham
You will need to hold a full clean driving license.
We offer a basic salary, overtime and uncapped commission as well as a fully stocked service vehicle.
