Join an exciting company that is looking for an experienced sports & play inspector/engineer/installer!
Working both independently and with other engineers, you will travelling around the UK (mainly southeast region) inspecting, servicing, repairing and installing both sports, athletics and play equipment for commercial organisations and businesses (eg. Leisure Centres, Schools & Universities). There will also be the opportunity to work in other parts of our business, assisting with indoor soft play installations and maintenance. Previous experience is not essential in this sector, however experience in servicing, maintaining and installing sports hall equipment would be an advantage.
RPII Outdoor Play Inspector Qualification (Annual or Operational level) would be an advantage not essential, as RPII Operational level training and qualification will be provided.
Experience of practical/manual work would also be essential.
There will be a requirement to stay away overnight from home on average 2 nights a week (Mon to Fri) depending upon the location of the jobs that week. Overnight accommodation and food allowance provided by the business.
There will be a requirement to be on standby at weekend on a rota basis with our other engineers, should we receive a callout (which are rare). The engineer(s) on standby receive additional pay for being on standby and a bonus if called out.
You need to have a clean UK driving license, practically minded, able to use electronic devices for recording of jobs through phones, tablets and laptops and good interpersonal skills.
PASMA and or IPAF qualifications would be an advantage but not essential.
All our engineers are enhanced DBS enhanced checked.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
