SERVICE ENGINEER FOR CARGO PUMPS, SAFETY VALVES AND CARGO COMPRESSORS ON LNG AND LPG VESSELS

Nordan Marine A/S is looking for a Service engineer to join our Singapore division

You will be part of an international company with 35 employees, with more to come, as we are growing rapidly. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum qualification: Higher Nitec or Diploma in Marine, Mechanical or equivalent engineering fields.
  • Experience from a similar job - maritime industry is an advantage.
  • Responsible and trustworthy towards customers and colleagues.
  • Proactive, motivated, and strong team player.
  • Loyal, positive and a good sense of humor.
  • Sympathetic and service minded appearance
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge from LPG/LNG gas carriers is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, willingness to travel overseas on short notice and work irregular hours as needed.
  • Strong English skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in documentation and have knowledge of Microsoft office package.

Responsibilities
  • Service and repair of deepwell and submerged pumps on LPG and LNG tankers.
  • Service and repair of safety valves on LPG and LNG tankers.
  • Service and repair of cargo compressors on LPG and LNG tankers.
  • Troubleshooting of gas pumps, safety valves, and cargo compressors.
  • Service and repairs are carried out either during the voyage or at the shipyard.
    The usual length of each job is between 1 to 3 weeks and is normally carried out by 1 to 2 Service Engineers. All service jobs take place either while sailing or during vessels dry-dock in all parts of the world. The expected travel activity is 160 days annually.
