Job Description Port Services at Konecranes focuses on the service, maintenance and repair of lifting equipment and automation solutions within ports, harbours and terminals - equipment includes, mobile harbour cranes, straddle carriers and container handling equipment to name but a few. We are recruiting a Port Service Engineer to carry out the maintenance and repair of this equipment. All of our customer are located in coastal areas, so being willing to travel is a key requirement for this role as well as being mechanically-qualified. We are looking for candidates who are ideally based in the north of the UK, preferably in the northeast - Newcastle, Gateshead, Middlesbrough or the Humber area. This role can also offer the opportunity to work overseas, but this is not a mandatory requirement. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Mechanical installation, commissioning, inspection, and testing including service and repair of Port Solution products, such as harbour cranes and straddle carriers Trouble- shooting equipment malfunctions Consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues Accurate and descriptive problem reporting Completion of inspection and examination documentation as appropriate Qualifications What we are looking for in you: Mechanically skilled with a basic understanding of electrics and hydraulics Experience of Siemens S7 preferable Good attention to detail. Be organised and self-motivated person. Computer proficient including basic networking and component diagnostics.
