Wartsila APSS, part of ANCS business and mainly in charge of the Italian Cruise Market, is now looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer with high technical attitude, to join our Site Management Team and establish a strong relation with our Customers. The person will report to the Site Manager.
The position is permanent. The preferred location for the position is in Genoa, Italy.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING

In this position, your work will include performing commissionng and field service activities according to the work plan.
On a typical day, you might be starting with access on shipyard ot travel to final location which you can find the vessel having all the naval equipments ready and end the day with having in your hands the work report signed and accepted by the customer.You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support from colleagues part of Site Management and colleagues part of the technical office.

AS COMMISSIONING ENGINEER, YOUR WORK WILL FOCUS ON THESE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform field service activities according to the work plan;- perform basic troubleshooting ((running tests, fine tuning, adjustments) on equipment families;
• May independently perform major/complex repairs and complete overhauls;
• May perform installation and pre-commissioning checks and activities;
• May perform commissioning activities and handing the equipment over to the customer and/or shipyard;
• May lead and manage assigned team and related activities during the work execution;
• Interact with customers during the work execution;
• Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work;
• Create the service reports;
• Ensure that the work is executed according to Wartsila Quality, Health, Safety and Enviromental guidelines and customer site procedures;
• Advice and promote available products and solutions to customers.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

• Understanding in automation systems.
• Experience of a minimum 2 years on board cruise & merchant vessels.
• Experience on Platinum, XD-DNA and Lyngso Automation systems.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time.
