JOB SUMMARY
The Service Hand is based out of our shop in Leduc and is primarily responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance and repairs on various pieces of company equipment ranging from basic hand tools to mobile, process and heavy equipment. Also responsible for errands in town and travel to work sites as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Should be able to perform diagnostic work on equipment
· Should be able to read, understand and relay critical information from blueprints and schematics
· Basic electrical and Oilfield knowledge is an asset
· Knowledge and operation of drilling rig activity and related services
· Must hold current certification in H2S Alive, TDG, WHMIS, Standard First Aid Level A with CPR
· Must hold current unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license
· Mechanical background or training on electrical and hydraulic equipment beneficial
· Use various hand and power tools to perform dis/assembly, maintenance and repairs to equipment
· Service and repair; Vac units, Shakers, 400 BBL Tanks, Skid Shacks and related equipment, tank farm rig up / out
· Pinpoint problems by discussing equipment operation with users, visually checking and listening to machinery in operation, and using testing equipment
· Interprets work orders and completes required paperwork daily on activity with accuracy and clear, readable language and print
· Take defective units apart and repair or replace broken, worn-out or faulty parts
· Reassemble, adjust, lubricate and test repaired units
· Assemble and adjust new equipment
· Assist in the loading and unloading of equipment
