ABOUT US

Trust Hygiene Services Ltd is a friendly, family orientated but professional hygiene company with the head office based in Walsall and we are looking for an experienced and professional Engineering Team Leader to join our team.
Our current team of four service engineers, install and repair laundry auto-dosing units, mains fed water coolers and boilers, product dispensers and washroom equipment throughout the Greater Midlands and some surrounding areas. We employ a great team of professional and highly motivated people to keep up with our fast-moving sector.
This role would suit a highly motivated, team orientated and experienced Engineering Team Leader. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced within a similar role, people focused, driven and dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.
It is important to acknowledge that although this is a team leader role it is a very hands on role and the ideal candidate must have experience of leading a team and managing their own time to help support working out in the field on the tools.
Hours: Monday to Friday, minimum 45 Hours per week. Usually working around 9 hours per day, varying between 5am-5pm approx. depending upon customer requirements and location. Must be flexible to work varying hours each day.
Starting Salary: £40,000 per annum, rising to £42,000 after probation period.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Electrical installation and maintenance.
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations.
  • Minimum 18th Edition regulation certificated standard.
  • Service engineering/facilities maintenance team leader or supervisory experience.
  • Full Clean driving licence.
  • Basic plumbing knowledge/experience an advantage.
  • Be a supportive, approachable, coaching leader.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. (Power Point would be an advantage).
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative with good attention to detail.
  • Be flexible and have a positive can-do attitude.
  • Be an excellent timekeeper.
  • Experience of carrying out risk assessments.
    Due to the nature of our clients i.e. school and nursing homes, we have to carry out a DBS check on any successful candidate.
    This role has the support of an internal administrator who will plan the daily workload of the team of service engineers and manage the engineers’ work calendars. With additional support from our internal router/planner to ensure accuracy and optimal efficiency of engineer’s time.
Responsibilities
  • Installation, service and repair of laundry auto-dosing units, mains-fed water coolers and boilers, product dispensers and washroom equipment in settings including care homes, schools, commercial premises and offices.
  • Leading a team of 4 engineers and conducting engineer performance reviews (with support from internal personnel).
  • Booking and monitoring annual leave and absence.
  • Training service engineers in the above and acting as the escalation point for technical support for service engineers, Trust Hygiene staff and customers.
  • Conducting plumbing and electrical surveys for equipment installs to ensure accurate costings and resource allocation.
  • Carrying out and assigning facilities maintenance/refurbishment duties in warehouse and office setting including electrical installation and fault finding.
  • Monitoring quality control, inspecting and assessing works carried out by engineers.
  • Monitoring and control of engineering stock, equipment and spare parts.
  • Review and advise on the suitability of new equipment and services as and when necessary.
  • Attending monthly managers meetings.
  • Carrying out site surveys.
  • Liaising with the internal assistant admin manager re internal maintenance.
    Please note; the occasional overnight stopover will be required when on long distance installations.
