Hoselton Nissan | East Rochester, NY

This is not a traditional floor sales position — the focus here is on uncovering and creating new vehicle sales opportunities through our service department, digital leads, and internal prospecting tools. POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Service & Internet Sales Consultant, your mission is to drive new vehicle sales by:

  • Engaging with current service customers to identify upgrade or replacement opportunities.
  • Responding to and nurturing internet leads from Nissan, manifest lists, and other digital channels.
  • Utilizing internal tools like Revenue Radar and Buy@Home to proactively identify and pursue sales prospects.
  • Providing a seamless, professional experience for customers — both in-store and online.

This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role that combines sales, relationship building, and lead management.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Opportunity Generation (Main Focus)

  • Mine the service drive daily for sales opportunities by engaging with customers in for maintenance or repairs.
  • Present upgrade options, equity opportunities, and trade-in evaluations with confidence and clarity.
  • Educate service customers about current Nissan programs, incentives, and vehicle features.

Internet Lead Management & Prospecting

  • Promptly respond to Nissan leads, Buy@Home leads, and other online inquiries.
  • Work manifest lists and internal CRM data to re-engage previous customers and leads.
  • Use Revenue Radar and other dealership tools to identify high-probability buyers.

Customer Communication & Appointment Setting

  • Reach out via phone, text, and email to engage leads and set appointments.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for customers considering trading in or upgrading their vehicle.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date notes and follow-ups in the CRM.

Inventory & Trade Evaluation Support

  • Assist with trade-in appraisals and vehicle evaluations to support sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with management on vehicle availability, current programs, and customer solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Service & Internet Sales Consultant is accountable for performing the duties and responsibilities described below. The list, however, is not necessarily an exhaustive description of the duties and responsibilities associated with the job.

  • Vehicle Purchasing and Acquisition
  • Identify and purchase vehicles that meet the pre-owned department’s inventory needs.
  • Collaborate with management to understand current inventory demands and purchase vehicles accordingly.
  • Negotiate and evaluate trade-in values to optimize profitability.
  • Navigate daily online listings, other dealers’ websites and various other outlets to source needed inventory
  • Revenue Radar and Manifest List Engagement
  • Utilize provided revenue radar tools to identify prospective customers and vehicle purchase opportunities.
  • Engage with existing and prospective customers via phone, text, and other communication channels to schedule appointments and discuss potential vehicle sales or trade-ins.
  • Act on manifest lists by reaching out to targeted vehicle owners to discuss potential purchase options.
  • Act on buy at home leads by reaching out and assisting in answering questions and engaging in conversation to help schedule appointment that would lead to sale in a timely fashion
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, demonstrating exceptional customer service.
  • Schedule appointments with customers for evaluations, providing information on trade-in values, offers, and purchase process.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for vehicle acquisition and offering clients a seamless and positive experience.
  • Maintain notes on all communication utilizing the organization’s CRM
