Join our family-run security and communications company based in Stockport, Manchester, who are looking to move into fire safety systems and need your experience!
You’ll take the lead in maintaining and servicing CCTV, access control, and nurse call systems, with a growing focus on fire safety as we expand into that area — so experience with fire systems would be beneficial. The role is primarily field-based, centred on servicing and maintaining our safety systems, with occasional installation and fault-response work. If you enjoy hands-on technical work, engaging with customers, and being part of a supportive, close-knit team, this role could be a great fit

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Service Engineer, your main focus will be planned maintenance of fire / security and nurse call installations, ensuring systems stay fully operational and compliant. You will also:

  • Occassionally carry out installations on new projects or system upgrades
  • Diagnose and resolve system faults, both remotely and on-site
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients and colleagues
  • Keep accurate and detailed service records and update work orders in our management system

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine inspections, testing and preventive maintenance
  • Service and maintain Fire Safety, CCTV, door-entry and nurse call equipment
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and system failures
  • Collaborate with our office team to schedule service visits and report on job status
