At Busy Bees at The Park, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Service Manager (2IC) to support the Centre Director in leading our 174-place service—one of the largest in the region. This is your opportunity to grow your leadership career in early childhood while making a lasting impact on children, families, and educators.
About the Role

As 2IC, you will:

  • Support the Centre Director in daily operations, compliance, and team management
  • Lead by example on the floor and step into the Director’s role as needed
  • Mentor educators and guide high-quality programs aligned with the EYLF
  • Build strong relationships with families, children, and staff
  • Ensure the centre meets all NQS, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace culture

What You’ll Need

  • Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved)
  • Previous experience as a Lead Educator or Assistant Centre Director
  • Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and compliance standards
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (WWVP) – ACT
  • First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training (HLTAID012 or equivalent)
  • Child Protection / Mandatory Reporting certificate
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills
  • Australian work rights (Citizen, PR, or appropriate visa)
