Description This is a full-time, direct placement role at Brophy Air. We're now hiring a talented individual to join the Brophy Air team. Responsibilities Effectively price and recommend HVAC maintenance programs, repairs, installations and construction projects. Demonstrate ability to accurately determine job priorities by scheduling personnel and materials with the dispatcher. Assure proper staffing, training, tools, test equipment, systems and procedures are in place to allow staff to complete all work in a cost-effective and high-quality manner. Plan project work to assure field personnel, material, and equipment are on the job at the right time. Understand purchase requirements. Direct and monitor staff in the preparation of requisitions in a timely manner for materials, equipment, subcontracts. Understand mechanical systems and appropriate codes and industry standards. Assure permits are secured where applicable. Provide material, directions, tools, and logistical support to field personnel to assure maximum productivity. Motivate the work force and maintain high employee morale. Effectively staff jobs and control labor costs within assigned cost limits. Redeem planned gross profit through leadership and management of staff. Conduct regular status reporting/review meetings with staff and managers. Compile information gathered, combine with personal observations and make recommendations to the General Manager/Operations Manager on all matters affecting service operation. Build rapport and productive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, field, and other personnel to influence decisions for purchasing, scheduling, installations, work completion as well as the sales and business systems functions. Motivate and train staff. Develop and implement programs to improve skills of staff as individuals as well as a group. Assure technical capabilities for field force is consistent with current contractual commitments and market strategy. Minimum five years HVAC-related experience. Some post-high school education from college, trade school or military. Exhibit an in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems. Has the ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to HVAC systems. Technical aptitude with knowledge of local codes and an ability to use resources at hand to find solutions. Excellent leadership skills to enhance team productivity and standards of work produced. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish; and strong conflict management skills. Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments. Good computer skills: knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and general software navigation. Possess a strong personal desire for improvement; and the desire to motivate HVAC technicians to be better tomorrow than they are today. Have a clean, neat and professional appearance; a top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in himself and in others. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and background. Ability and willingness to work non-standard schedule: nights, weekends and holidays as/if required. Ability to work under pressure with little supervision.
