Responsibilities

As a Service Manager, you’ll lead a close-knit team of Service Engineers working with FOSS analytical instruments across the region. Your team supports industries such as Dairy, Laboratory, Wine, Feed, Meat, and more. You’ll manage day-to-day team operations, ensure high-quality service delivery, and foster a strong, motivated, and high-performance culture.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a technical service team across Australia and New Zealand
  • Working with the Service Coordinator to manage team schedules and workloads
  • Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Supporting engineers with coaching, training, and field troubleshooting
  • Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Driving continuous improvement and contributing to strategic goals
  • Conducting regular team reviews and development planning
  • Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards

You’re an experienced people leader or senior technician ready to step into a leadership role. You’re passionate about team success and understand how to balance customer expectations, team wellbeing, and operational performance.

We’re looking for:

  • Proven experience leading or mentoring a service or technical team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with analytical, laboratory, or industrial equipment
  • Knowledge of service KPIs and workforce planning
  • Proficiency in SalesForce CRM system and other business tools
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science or similar
  • Willingness to travel within Australia/NZ and internationally as needed
  • A valid driver’s licence and work rights in Australia or New Zealand (location dependent)
