Autism West Midlands is the leading charity in the West Midlands for autistic individuals. We deliver family and adult support and have been doing so for over 30 years.

We provide a number of Community Support Services and as part of this role; you will be required to oversee the following services:

  • Adult Services- We provide a range of services for autistic adults. This includes services supporting people awaiting an autism diagnosis or for people who are newly diagnosed. We also offer support for people around befriending, health and wellbeing activities and have several groups open for people to attend across the region.
  • Family Services: We are often the very first port of call for a family whose son or daughter has received a diagnosis of Autism and offer early critical support and intervention for the whole family. We offer advice and guidance and training sessions to families, training courses as well as provide training to professionals. We also run a range of groups and play sessions for young children and their siblings.

We deliver this support across many parts of the West Midlands including Shropshire, Hereford, Worcestershire, Birmingham, Solihull, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Sandwell.
You will oversee services based in Birmingham and The Black Country. You will have direct line management responsibility for Assistant Managers. Your role will be to lead and oversee the service delivery to ensure they are able to respond to the needs of families and adults affected by autism as well as meeting the changing priorities of commissioners and funders.
