JOB OVERVIEW

A Newark, NJ area Ford dealer is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our service department and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in automotive repair, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing service operations, leading a team of technicians, and maintaining effective communication with customers regarding their vehicle needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within an automotive service environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, brake repair, automotive diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance practices.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
  • Experience in cash handling procedures is desirable.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software relevant to automotive repairs.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications related to automotive repair are a plus.
