OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department at our brand new Nanaimo dealership. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Automotive Service Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage a team of technicians, and ensure that all automotive repairs and services meet our high standards of quality. Your ability to upsell services and foster a positive relationship with customers will be key to driving the success of our dealership.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager or in a similar role within a dealership setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Proficient in cash handling procedures and financial transactions.
  • Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of technicians.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry trends and best practices is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • PBS Knowledge an asset

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the service department staff, including mechanics and service advisors.
  • Ensure efficient workflow in the repair shop while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on automotive repair techniques and customer service best practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Develop strategies to increase sales through upselling additional services and products.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services performed, and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the dealership.
