The Service Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include a Base Monthly Salary Compensation of $5,720. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Service Manager is responsible for managing the Service Department to profitability, customer satisfaction and quality standards established by the dealership, manufacturer and government agencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for all Service Department functions, personnel and the level of
customer satisfaction.
· Provides top quality service and maintains a profitable operation.
· Establishes and manages Service Department financial, customer satisfaction, quality and personnel objectives, plans and budgets.
· Organizes trains and directs Service Department personnel to ensure the optimum use of staff, facilities, parts, tools, equipment and all other valuable departmental resources.
· Exemplifies organizational culture and holds others in department accountable for doing the same.
· Meets or exceeds all sales, employee retention and customer satisfaction goals established for both Service Department and dealership.
· Prepares an annual Departmental forecast based upon market penetration, budget and expenses.
· Develops and implements position descriptions for each Service Department position.
· Evaluates plans and implements an effective merchandising and promotional plan.
· Establishes and implements a written development plan for each Service Department employee.
· Provides training and development for Service Department employees including attendance at manufacturer training seminars and workshops.
· Ensures that all Service Department personnel are up to date with required training.
· Establishes employee objectives and conducts performance evaluations against those set objectives.
· Operates and maintains the Service Department according to safety, compliance, quality control and appearance standards established by the dealership, manufacturer and appropriate government agencies.
· Performs Service Department administrative duties such as, but not limited to: monitoring of shop policy reports, rental car expenses, accounts receivables, warranty and reservation schedules.
· Develops implements and manages Service Department’s advertising strategy and budget.
· Accomplishes all current and future projects and tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
· Complies with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety and personal protection equipment as required.
· Maintain training status by keeping up with factory recommended classes.
· Maintain a professional and business-like standard of dress consistent with the dress code requirements of the Shelly Automotive Group and/or specific dealership.
· Safeguard customer and Dealer information per established policy.
· Exemplifies organizational culture and holds others in department accountable for doing the same.
