We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our service department. Reporting to Regional Service Manager, the Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our service department, including managing a team of skilled technicians, ensuring efficient operations, and delivering top-notch customer service. Your leadership will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in the heavy-duty truck repair industry.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous years of experience in a management or supervisory position in the heavy-duty truck repair or automotive service industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and their components. Licensed Truck & Transport Technician is preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven approach.
  • Formal education in Business Administration or comparable experience is an asset.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with service management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Well versed in all areas of safety applicable to the truck and transport trade.
  • Ability to do occasional heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds) and be physically active.

Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of technicians, providing support, feedback, and coaching to ensure high-quality workmanship and a cohesive team. Participate in staff hiring, training, and development initiatives with the leadership team.
  • Service Operations: Work with the Foreman to oversee day-to-day operations of day and night shifts, scheduling, and workflow to ensure efficient and timely service delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Customer Service: Interact with clients, address their needs, and resolve any issues or concerns. Foster strong customer relationships and ensure repair service is delivered promptly and to the highest quality standards.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on department performance, issues, and potential improvements. Monitor revenue, expenses, workflow, and shop proficiency to ensure profitability, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Safety: Cultivate a safe working environment through regular communication and ensuring adherence to applicable safety policies and procedures.
