JOB OVERVIEW

Spinney Motorhomes and Caravans are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading a team of service professionals. A background in mechanical knowledge and an understanding of caravans/ motorhomes or campervans is advantageous. Previous management experience required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a service environment, ideally within the motoring industries.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Mechanical and/or Caravan and Motorhome knowledge is preferred, enabling effective communication with technical staff and customers regarding services offered.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on teamwork. Ensuring the attitude and morale of the team is at the forefront.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the service team to ensure efficient operations, overseeing the operation of the service advisors.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction with the support from our Group Customer Relations Manager.
  • Monitoring the weekly workflow, ensuring KPIs are met.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on customer service techniques and product knowledge, developing the team on an ongoing basis..
  • Maintain an organised and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the sales and shop departments to enhance overall service delivery and operational efficiency, ensuring we remain efficient whilst maintaining high standards of work.
  • Assist in upselling services and products to customers, promoting additional offerings that meet their needs.
